The ever-evolving landscape of language education and technology necessitates a paradigm shift in preparing Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) professionals, transcending conventional academic boundaries to meet the demands of the Knowledge Economy. This presentation explores the imperative of equipping CALL professionals beyond traditional academic settings, emphasizing a comprehensive approach incorporating practical real-world applications and leveraging opportunities in the knowledge economy. The presentation suggests an effective formal CALL training that will foster a new generation of professionals who will thrive in the dynamic, technology-driven language learning landscape. It will highlight the significance of infusing entrepreneurial mindsets and technological expertise into formal CALL training, which will empower pre-service CALL professionals to identify and seize opportunities in an ever-changing global context. Also, the presentation urges the pre-service CALL professional to seek to be agile and enterprising language educators dedicated to contributing innovatively to their respective fields of language teaching and learning.
