Please join us in congratulating PhD student Sara Rosenau on receiving runner-up in the Society of Linguistic Anthropology's annual John Gumperz Graduate Student Essay Prize Competition for her Master's Thesis, "Appropriating Appropriation: Mock Koreaboo." The competition in this award is fierce, and runner-up is quite a feat. Sara will go to the American Anthropological Association Annual Meeting in November to present a version of her paper.
