Alpacas All the Way! Quechua 4 Students Visit Alpaca Farm

Quechua instructor and PhD student Alana DeLoge (far right), leads a group of her Quechua Level 4 student on a tour of an alpaca farm in Butler, PA, where the students learned about the shearing, combing and felting process that turns alpaca fibers into clothing. The preparation of alpaca fiber is an important part of the Bolivian indigenous people.
