ELI Director Dr. Alan Juffs recently co-authored an article titled "Conducting Research at Language Centers: Practical Perspectives from the Field" which appears in the latest issue of TESOL Quarterly. The article discusses ways in which Instructors in the Pitt’s English Language Institute actively participate in research, conference presentations, and other professional development opportunities to improve teaching and learning.
The other co-authors of the article are Susan Gass of Michigan State University and Southeast University (China), Sue Starfield of the University of New South Wales (Australia), and Ken Hyland of the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom).
