Abstract
The linguistic internship program offers students a chance to operate as interns in a major linguistics-related industry; it prepares them for challenging careers where linguistics is part of the solution, trains them in a structured and supportive environment, and teaches them to translate their classroom skills to the business world. The program also helps increase visibility of linguistics in our community, helps graduates acquire employment skills, and make important contacts for their future. In this week’s linguistics colloquium, interns from current rotation of 2018 will briefly share their work in various local industries and will also reflect on their experience.
