In conversation with Noriyasu Li, Ph.D., Senior Product Manager at Zoom
Soudi will interview Nori about his journey to the industry. They will discuss how he uses linguistics in his role as a Senior Product Manager at Zoom and what his day-to-day work looks like, highlighting the differences between industry and academia. The discussion will focus on how language expertise and global competency can be leveraged to land an opportunity with the tech industry, along with some of the challenges and surprises encountered when entering this field.
The discussion will also include things that Nori wished he knew about the industry while he was a student. The colloquium will be informative and will provide valuable insights into the role of linguistics in the tech industry, and conclude with advice for those interested in pursuing a career in tech.
